What are the requirements for potential franchisees?

Opening a Rita's Italian Ice franchise requires a strong and personal commitment and active involvement in store operations. Franchisee approval is based on a number of factors, including integrity, personal and financial qualifications, a high level of energy, positive attitude, dedication, and leadership abilities.

AREA DEVELOPER

Rita’s area development method offers the opportunity for an individual to secure the rights of a designated territory and collect a percentage of paid franchise fees and on-going royalty fees. Area developers have a vested interest for franchisees to establish successful stores within their territory.

MULTI-STORE DEVELOPMENT

Rita’s multi-store development method offers the opportunity for an individual to purchase multiple standard stores, satellite stores or mobile units. Satellite stores and mobile units are supported by the main production store and are within reasonable proximity of the main production store.

SINGLE-STORE DEVELOPMENT

Rita’s single-store development method offers the opportunity for an individual to purchase one standard store. This method allows for later opportunities to grow your business through satellite and mobile options.

Franchise Fees

To ensure that our franchisees will be able to qualify with both lenders and landlords, we require that potential franchisees interested in a single store opportunity have a minimum $300,000 net worth and $100,000 in liquid capital. We also have multi-outlet opportunities available for those who fulfill specific financial requirements.
